Rock Canyon scrimmages

This Saturday all Softball players will be traveling to the Rock Canyon scrimmages. We will play 2 - 1 hour and 15 minutes games against Rock Canyon HS and Chatfield HS. Game one at 930am and game two at 11am. Buses leave HS at 7am. All games at Rock Canyon HS.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat University

Eaton Softball - Varsity stole the lead late and defeated University 3-1 on Thursday.  The game was tied at one with Eaton Softball - Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Julia Meagher doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Sadie Ross struck out seven, while A Harding sat down five.

Eaton Softball - Varsity got things moving in the first inning.  Blayke Duncan drove in one when Duncan singled.

In the top of the fifth inning, University tied things up at one.

Ross took the win for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righthander surrendered one run on eight hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Harding took the loss for University. The bulldog allowed six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out five.

Meagher went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity in hits.

University tallied eight hits in the game.  K Kingsley and A Hikida each had multiple hits for University.

Early Lead for Eaton Softball - Varsity Sets Stage for Victory Over Resurrection Christian

Eaton Softball - Varsity defeated Resurrection Christian 15-3 thanks to a strong start.  Eaton Softball - Varsity scored on a walk by Kiauna Smith, a triple by Blayke Duncan, a single by Stephanie Bingley, a single by Julia Meagher, a walk by Olivia Comer, and a walk by Emma Pinkstaff in the first inning.

Meagher got the win for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righthander allowed one hit and three runs over four innings, striking out eight.

Knapp took the loss for Resurrection Christian. The pitcher lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing 13 hits and 15 runs while striking out four.

Eaton Softball - Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Smith put one out in the fourth inning.

Eaton Softball - Varsity racked up 13 hits on the day.  Comer, Pinkstaff, Bingley, Smith, and Duncan each managed multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Duncan, Smith, Bingley, Pinkstaff, and Comer each collected two hits to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Eaton Softball - Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Comer led the way with three.

Knapp went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Resurrection Christian in hits.  Resurrection Christian was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. A Johnson had the most chances in the field with four.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Can't Hold Up Against Lutheran

Eaton Softball - Varsity couldn't keep up with Lutheran and fell 11-1 on Friday.

H Mastretti got the win for Lutheran. The bulldog allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Jaelyn Montoya took the loss for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righty surrendered nine runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out one.

Kiauna Smith, Jaeli Lewis, Zoe Hamilton, and Olivia Comer each collected one hit to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity.

Lutheran totaled 11 hits.  T Cramer and M Glenn all collected multiple hits for Lutheran.  Lutheran was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. M Yoxsimen made the most plays with  eight.

Sadie Ross shut down Brush, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Eaton Softball - Varsity to a 10-0 victory on Tuesday

Eaton Softball - Varsity secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the first inning.  Stephanie Bingley, Jaeli Lewis, Jaelyn Montoya, Zoe Hamilton, Emma Pinkstaff, and  Kiauna Smith each had RBIs in the big inning.

In the first inning, Eaton Softball - Varsity got their offense started.  Bingley tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

A single by Jilek in the second inning was a positive for Brush.

Ross got the win for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righty surrendered zero runs on four hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Unrein took the loss for Brush. The hurler lasted one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and five runs.

Smith, Bingley, Pinkstaff, and Julia Meagher each managed one hit to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Takes 8-4 Victory Over Limon

Eaton Softball - Varsity was victorious over Limon, 8-4

Eaton Softball - Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Emma Pinkstaff doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Eaton Softball - Varsity put up five runs in the fourth inning.  Eaton Softball - Varsity put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Jaelyn Montoya, MacKenna Truax, and Blayke Duncan and a triple by Stephanie Bingley.

Julia Meagher led the Eaton Softball - Varsity to victory on the rubber. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.

R Furich took the loss for Limon. The hurler lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and seven runs while walking zero.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied 13 hits in the game.  Pinkstaff, Olivia Comer, Meagher, Bingley, and Duncan each had multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Pinkstaff led Eaton Softball - Varsity with three hits in four at bats.  Eaton Softball - Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Pinkstaff led the way with three.

Meagher Shuts Out Valley

Julia Meagher threw a gem on Thursday for Eaton Softball - Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Valley by a score of 14-0

Eaton Softball - Varsity was boosted by Emma Pinkstaff who went 4-for-4 at the plate.  Pinkstaff singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh.

In the first inning, Eaton Softball - Varsity got their offense started.  Eaton Softball - Varsity scored one run when Blayke Duncan tripled.

Eaton Softball - Varsity scored seven runs in the seventh inning.  Eaton Softball - Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Duncan, Stephanie Bingley, Meagher, Jaeli Lewis, Zoe Hamilton, and  Lina Cruz, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

A single by Blanco in the fifth inning was a positive for Valley.

Meagher led the Eaton Softball - Varsity to victory on the rubber. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out 12 and walking zero.

Grant took the loss for Valley. Grant surrendered 14 runs on 20 hits over seven innings, striking out one.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied 20 hits.  Bingley, Pinkstaff, Hamilton, Olivia Comer, and Meagher all managed multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Pinkstaff and Bingley each collected four hits to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Eaton Softball - Varsity stole eight bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Pinkstaff led the way with four.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Claims Blow-Out Victory Over La Junta, 11-1

Eaton Softball - Varsity won big over La Junta 11-1 on Saturday.

Eaton Softball - Varsity got things moving in the first inning.  Kiauna Smith grounded out, scoring one run.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied five runs in the second inning.  Eaton Softball - Varsity's big inning was driven by a single by Jaelyn Montoya, a home run by Blayke Duncan, and a double by Zoe Hamilton.

Julia Meagher led the Eaton Softball - Varsity to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righty lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and one run while striking out four and walking one.

M Wiley took the loss for La Junta. The hurler lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing 13 hits and 11 runs while striking out one.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Duncan had a dinger in the second inning.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied 13 hits on the day.  Stephanie Bingley, Jaeli Lewis, and Montoya all collected multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Bingley led Eaton Softball - Varsity with four hits in four at bats.

La Junta collected eight hits.  L Nunez  and J Springer each managed multiple hits for La Junta.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Takes Victory in High-Scoring Game Over Rocky Ford, 17-7

Both offenses were strong in Eaton Softball - Varsity 17-7 victory over Rocky Ford .

Eaton Softball - Varsity took an early lead in the first inning.

Eaton Softball - Varsity took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning.  In the second Kiauna Smith doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Stephanie Bingley singled on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Eaton Softball - Varsity.

Eaton Softball - Varsity put up seven runs in the sixth inning.  Blayke Duncan, Smith, Olivia Comer, Julia Meagher, Jaeli Lewis, and  Jaelyn Montoya powered the big inning with RBIs.

Rocky Ford scored three runs in the fourth inning.  H Berg, L Chavez, and L Garcia all drove in runs in the frame.

Bingley earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righthander surrendered seven runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out three.  Meagher threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Garcia took the loss for Rocky Ford. The bulldog surrendered nine runs on eight hits over two and a third innings, striking out two.

Eaton Softball - Varsity launched one home run on the day. Duncan had a four bagger in the first inning.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Out-Hits Competition, Yet Strasburg Takes The Win

Even though Eaton Softball - Varsity collected 13 hits to Strasburg's 12, they still fell 10-7 on Tuesday

Despite the loss, Eaton Softball - Varsity did collect 13 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Strasburg had 12 hits on the way to victory.

Eaton Softball - Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Emma Pinkstaff doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Strasburg pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth A Vetter doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, M Brewer drew a walk, scoring one run, A Stone doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and G Graf doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

H Price got the win for Strasburg. The hurler allowed 13 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out two.

Julia Meagher took the loss for Eaton Softball - Varsity. Meagher went six innings, allowing ten runs on 12 hits and striking out four.

Strasburg collected 12 hits on the day.  Stone, Vetter, and Graf all managed multiple hits for Strasburg.  Stone led Strasburg with three hits in four at bats.

Eaton Softball - Varsity Struggles to Find Groove Against Sterling

It was a tough day on Saturday for Eaton Softball - Varsity, who lost 7-1 to Sterling

Sterling fired up the offense in the second inning.  E Soper grounded out, scoring one run.

Sterling pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Sterling scored on a stolen base during Soper's at bat. Then Soper doubled , driving in one, S Sandoval singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, and A Wright homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

R Fehringer earned the win for Sterling. The pitcher surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero.

Julia Meagher took the loss for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righthander went six innings, allowing seven runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.

Stephanie Bingley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity in hits.

Sterling racked up six hits in the game.  J Gordon and Wright all managed multiple hits for Sterling.  Sterling tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Fehringer led the way with three.  Sterling didn't commit a single error in the field. Sandoval had the most chances in the field with ten.

Eaton Softball - Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 15-4 victory over The Academy on Tuesday.  The game was tied at four with Eaton Softball - Varsity batting in the top of the fourth when Blayke Duncan tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Eaton Softball - Varsity was boosted by Stephanie Bingley who went 4-for-4 at the plate.  Bingley singled in the first, singled in the third, tripled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.

Eaton Softball - Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Kiauna Smith singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, The Academy tied things up at four when A Fladung tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Eaton Softball - Varsity scored six runs in the fifth inning.  Bingley, Olivia Comer, Jaeli Lewis, Zoe Hamilton, and Emma Pinkstaff each had RBIs in the frame.

Bingley was the winning pitcher for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righty surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six.

A Contreraz took the loss for The Academy. Contreraz surrendered nine runs on 12 hits over four innings, striking out one.

Eaton Softball - Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game.  Bingley, Comer, Julia Meagher, Lewis, Smith, and Duncan each racked up multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity.  Bingley went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity in hits.

Eaton Softball - Varsity defeated University 6-4 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at four with Eaton Softball - Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Jaeli Lewis lined out, driving in a run.

Ross Throws Shutout as Eaton Softball - Varsity Defeats Brush

Sadie Ross didn't allow a single run as Eaton Softball - Varsity defeated Brush 13-0 on Tuesday. Ross allowed just two hits.

In the first inning, Eaton Softball - Varsity got their offense started.  Eaton Softball - Varsity scored one run when Stephanie Bingley doubled.

Eaton Softball - Varsity tallied four runs in the sixth inning.  Eaton Softball - Varsity offense in the inning was led by Emma Pinkstaff, Kiauna Smith, and Blayke Duncan, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

A single by Tadolini in the first inning was a positive for Brush.

Ross took the win for Eaton Softball - Varsity. Ross lasted six innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero.

Unrein took the loss for Brush. The hurler lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out two.

Two Eaton Softball - Varsity Pitchers Combine To Defeat Strasburg In Shutout Game

Eaton Softball - Varsity defeated Strasburg 8-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Julia Meagher induced a fly out from M Brewer to finish off the game.

Eaton Softball - Varsity got things started in the first inning.  Stephanie Bingley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Eaton Softball - Varsity notched three runs in the sixth inning.  Eaton Softball - Varsity offense in the inning was led by Jaeli Lewis, Olivia Comer, and Jaelyn Montoya, all driving in runs in the frame.

A single by G Graf in the seventh inning was a positive for Strasburg.
