Eaton Softball - JV stole the lead late in the game in a 15-9 victory over Brush on Tuesday. The game was tied at eight with Eaton Softball - JV batting in the bottom of the fourth when Sophie Morgan doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Eaton Softball - JV collected 13 hits and Brush had seven.
After Brush scored four runs in the top of the third, Eaton Softball - JV answered with four of their own. Brush scored when #23 singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, #26 grounded out, scoring one run, and #17 grounded out, scoring one run. Eaton Softball - JV then answered when Jadeyn Lampe singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Lina Cruz doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.
Stephanie Bingley was credited with the victory for Eaton Softball - JV. Bingley allowed seven hits and nine runs over five innings, striking out six.
#26 took the loss for Brush. undefined surrendered 15 runs on 13 hits over four innings.
Eaton Softball - JV hit one home run on the day. Katie Hill went deep in the fourth inning.
Eaton Softball - JV tallied 13 hits. Ayla Ritchey, Lampe, and Cruz all collected multiple hits for Eaton Softball - JV. Lampe and Ritchey each collected three hits to lead Eaton Softball - JV.
Brush collected seven hits. #23 and #10 each had multiple hits for Brush. #1 led Brush with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases. Brush didn't commit a single error in the field. #8 had the most chances in the field with six.
