Eaton Softball - JV snagged a late lead and defeated Brush 12-8 on Tuesday. Eaton Softball - JV trailed 7-6 in the top of the fourth inning when Mayzie Helzer homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Eaton Softball - JV collected 13 hits and Brush five in the high-scoring affair
Brush opened up scoring in the first inning.
Brush scored four runs in the third inning. #26 and #12 all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Stephanie Bingley earned the win for Eaton Softball - JV. Bingley allowed five hits and eight runs over five innings, striking out three.
#3 took the loss for Brush. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and ten runs while striking out seven.
Eaton Softball - JV socked one home run on the day. Helzer had a long ball in the fourth inning.
Eaton Softball - JV tallied 13 hits. Helzer, Sophie Morgan, Jadeyn Lampe, and Karli Havel all collected multiple hits for Eaton Softball - JV. Helzer went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Eaton Softball - JV in hits. Eaton Softball - JV stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Lampe led the way with three.
#23 led Brush with two hits in two at bats. #17 led Brush with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
