Eaton Softball - JV weathered a scare by Weld Central in the second inning where Eaton Softball - JV coughed up six runs, but Eaton Softball - JV still won 11-9 on Thursday. Weld Central offense in the inning was led by #4, #14, #16, and #5, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Eaton Softball - JV collected nine hits and Weld Central had six in the high-scoring affair.
Eaton Softball - JV opened up scoring in the first inning when Karli Havel doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Eaton Softball - JV took the lead for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Eaton Softball - JV, Jadeyn Lampe lined out, driving in a run, an error scored one run for Eaton Softball - JV, and Havel singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
McKenzie Powell got the win for Eaton Softball - JV. The righthander allowed six hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out three.
#23 took the loss for Weld Central. The pitcher surrendered six runs on four hits over one inning.
