Jarnagin Delivers Four Hits To Eaton Softball Victory Over University

Jenni Jarnagin was dialed in at the plate on Thursday, tallying four hits and leading Eaton to a 17-6 win over University. Jarnagin doubled in the first, singled in the fourth, homered in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.

Eaton earned the victory despite allowing University to score four runs in the fourth inning. University's big inning was driven by a single by K Wyatt and a double by L Sanchez.

The Reds got on the board in the first inning. Jarnagin doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Eaton scored six runs in the third inning. The Reds put the pressure on, lead by singles by Jaymie Woody, Olivia Comer, and Blayke Duncan and a double by Emma Pinkstaff.

Sadie Ross was credited with the victory for Eaton. Ross went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking one.

K Kingsley took the loss for University. Kingsley surrendered 16 runs on 19 hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

Eaton socked one home run on the day. Jarnagin had a dinger in the fifth inning.

The Reds tallied 19 hits on the day. Jarnagin, Yaritza Puente, Duncan, Pinkstaff, Comer, and Julia Meagher each collected multiple hits. Puente and Jarnagin all had four hits to lead Eaton Softball.

University collected nine hits. A Padilla and K Kern each managed multiple hits for University.
