Eaton Softball - Varsity knocked in 12 runs in the fourth on its way to an 18-2 victory over Brush on Saturday. Eaton Softball - Varsity's big inning was driven by singles by Yaritza Puente, Jaymie Woody, Brooke Beacom, Emma Pinkstaff, and Puente, a sacrifice fly by Blayke Duncan, a groundout by Jenni Jarnagin, and an error on a ball put in play by Olivia Comer.
In the first inning, Eaton Softball - Varsity got their offense started when B Rule induced Puente to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Eaton Softball - Varsity put up 12 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Eaton Softball - Varsity was led by Puente, Woody, Comer, Beacom, Pinkstaff, and Duncan, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Sadie Ross was the winning pitcher for Eaton Softball - Varsity. She lasted four innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out six and walking zero.
Rule took the loss for Brush. She allowed 15 hits and 18 runs over four innings, walking one.
Eaton Softball - Varsity hit one home run on the day. Beacom had a homer in the third inning.
Eaton Softball - Varsity collected 15 hits on the day. Beacom, Jarnagin, Woody, Puente, and Duncan all managed multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity. Beacom went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Eaton Softball - Varsity in hits. Eaton Softball - Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Puente had the most chances in the field with six.
