Both offenses were strong in Eaton Softball - Varsity 17-7 victory over Rocky Ford .
Eaton Softball - Varsity took an early lead in the first inning.
Eaton Softball - Varsity took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Kiauna Smith doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Stephanie Bingley singled on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Eaton Softball - Varsity.
Eaton Softball - Varsity put up seven runs in the sixth inning. Blayke Duncan, Smith, Olivia Comer, Julia Meagher, Jaeli Lewis, and Jaelyn Montoya powered the big inning with RBIs.
Rocky Ford scored three runs in the fourth inning. H Berg, L Chavez, and L Garcia all drove in runs in the frame.
Bingley earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Eaton Softball - Varsity. The righthander surrendered seven runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out three. Meagher threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Garcia took the loss for Rocky Ford. The bulldog surrendered nine runs on eight hits over two and a third innings, striking out two.
Eaton Softball - Varsity launched one home run on the day. Duncan had a four bagger in the first inning.
Eaton Softball - Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Duncan, Bingley, and Smith each collected multiple hits for Eaton Softball - Varsity. Duncan led Eaton Softball - Varsity with three hits in four at bats. Eaton Softball - Varsity tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Emma Pinkstaff led the way with five.
Rocky Ford had ten hits in the game. D Morris, J Kiewitz, and S Larrew all had multiple hits for Rocky Ford.
