The bats turned hot once again for the Reds, as the team drove 4 over the fence against University. Standout hitters, #7 Jaymie Woody (2 home runs), #3 Jennifer Jarnagin, and #2 Bailie Duncan amassed 4 total home runs propelling the Reds to a 5-3 overall record. The Reds also opened conference play with the victory. Strong pitching from #4 Alexis Schmitt, #7 Jaymie Woody, and #13 Melanie Fye added to the win. The Reds Softball team will be back in action next week for 3 games - Tuesday, 9/6 at Lyons (4pm), Thursday, 9/8 hosting Platte Valley (4pm), and Friday, 9/9 at Faith Christian (4:30pm).
