Eaton Softball defeated University 11-5 on Friday thanks to eight runs in the first inning. Eaton batters contributing to the big inning included Jenni Jarnagin, Ali Schmitt, Blayke Duncan, and Sadie Ross, all knocking in runs in the inning.

In the first inning, University got their offense started.

Ross got the win for Eaton. She surrendered five runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

K Kern took the loss for University. She allowed six runs on four hits and walked zero.

The Reds socked one home run on the day. Jarnagin went yard in the first inning.

Eaton scattered 13 hits in the game. Emma Pinkstaff, Schmitt, Ross, Brooke Beacom, and Duncan all managed multiple hits for the Reds. Pinkstaff led Eaton with three hits in four at bats.

University saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. K Kern, K Wyatt, and L Sanchez all collected multiple hits for University. Kern went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead University in hits.
